The Thunderpeaks and what lays beneath
« on: January 08, 2008, 02:50:15 pm »
I have a question...

Who should I ask about learning about what lies beneath the Thunder peaks?

Who is the one 'responsible' for that part of the world that would know the lore of the place?

My intent is to learn about this place IG (by doing research in the Great Library or searching NPC / PC that could tell me about it) following something that happened a few days ago. But I'd like to know whom I should approach first for this.

Thanks

I imagine that this sort of information is very dificult to come by in game. Chongo or Edtheket may be the ones to ask, but expect that it may take a CDQ to really get into the Lore of that place. And even then, you might come out empty handed.

But... aren't you curious? :)

well there is a lot of information in game held by players. There was an event not too long ago where the history of the place was told. at that event it was told that the story is common knowledge in Dalanthar. I am sure that one or two PCs recorded it. Also it is well known that there are some folks that have been there many times. Wren has been down there a time or two (four times I think) and he is always happy to tell a tale of two about it. But be warned he is not a bard so dont expect much LOL.

I know of the event that took place but I couldn't attend at the time.

Though, I believe it was more on the Giant King and such (although it might be related to what I want to know *grins*, no?

Anyway... perhaps it is a way to start... Oh, Grohin went there too.. but he (and I *grins*) wants to know of the history of the place and why it is so now. I don't think that you can learn that by going down there, unless there are archives or something similar still remaining there, but that would fall in the CDQ/'at least need of GM attendance' part of thing.

Thanks nonetheless, gave me maybe a starting point.

The story told covered some of the history of the dwarves that once resided there as well as the war with the giant king and how it all turned out and why it is the way it is now.
