Cutting three saphires

Cutting three saphires in hampshire, then as I should pollish I had only one oil left.
So I thought I just put them all up and then go get additional oil

However, as I pollished, and failed *cough*.
I got two gems left after that... though... they weren't cut saphires anylonger.
Instead looking like two unidentified "blueish" saphires.

Now description said:

Gem (Unidentified)

   One with the land

   Base item: Gem
   Weight: 170219427.4

Weight isn't applied IG thank gods.... and I simply trashed the gems.
Hope you can make something out of it. I just thought it was weird.

Too bad you trashed them, because this isn't really a bug. If you put more gems in a craftingstation than you need, the surplus of gems will often be unidentified and will show some kind of funny message.

If you had relogged they would have been normal again and the craftingstation would still have recognized them as cut sapphires eventhough they were unidentified.

You are fine. Even with the gems in this state, the benches will still recognize them for what they really are. I see this all the time with gum arabic and sand when I make sand paper. To you it looks unidentified, but the game knows what it is.
