Well, I've no idea if the skunk actually has the effects of G.sanc on it, but I couldn't see it, couldn't click it, just got killed by it, while I could only see the name when I pressed Tab.

I presume this is the first time you have a lost appearance on a creature.  It happens.  Nothing we can do about it.  If you're alone, call a summons/familiar/companion, or get to a transition.  If you're with a party usually a few people can see it.

Pen N Popper:

This always happens for me with mosquito swarms... there is no clickable object i can find associated with the swarm.  Just have to wait for the buggers to bite and auto-attack in return.  Darn bugs!

Heh, that's a feature with the mosquitos.  They are nonclickable to make them the first sort of intelligent challenge for the young PC.  Need a handy strategy for them.

I ended up dragging them to Jasmine, and using Alch. fire and a Summon Monster I on them.
