Title: Zombies damaged by Death Armor
Post by: miltonyorkcastle on March 06, 2007, 10:03:48 pm
I looked around and I didn't see this posted anywhere else, so the zombies in the Gloom forest (and maybe elsewhere, who knows) takes damage from the negative energy effects of Death Armor, despite being undead. As I understand it, undead are healed by negative energy.

I thought death armor was magic damage?

If it is, it's news to me. I just checked the description, and it doesn't list damage type. When we learn for sure what type of damage it is, I'll add that info to the spell description.

Just because it's always done that doesn't mean it's not a bug, it's means it's not a ~reported~ bug. :P

But you may be right. It may be set that way on purpose. We'll see.

Milty is right in that "it's always done that" does not mean it's not a bug.
But in this case, it's not a bug. It does magic damage, not negative energy damage.

Well, good to know. I'm going to go add that to it's LORE description to avoid any possible further confusion.

Done. Also made a page that lists and gives examples of all the damage types. (except for positive damage, couldn't think of an example)

Positive damage is done by positive energy... Like when you heal a zombie.

Horrid Wilting does not deal negative damage, but magic damage, Negative Energy Burst does on the other hand.

0.o Horrid doesn't do negative energy damage? Well then. Two necromancy spells (death armor and horrid wilting) that don't do negative damage, but instead magical. Like a magic missle. I'm sure there's a reason for this.... I just don't know what it is... anywho, I'll put up a different example real fast...
