Title: Taunt action
Post by: Tobias on September 08, 2019, 10:45:24 pm
Not sure if this is a bug or not but, I’ve notice if I’m in combat and want to use the taunt action on an enemy it doesn’t work unless I stop attacking. The skill/action does queue but doesn’t execute. I thought it would function similar to knockdown.

The only way i get it to work is to toolbar it and do it as my first attack...once you attack them or they attack you it wont work

Yeah typically that is what I do as well but if more come I’d like to taunt my next target without coming out of combat.

I do not believe this is a bug at all

Taunt is a separate (not a combat action/mode.)

Therefore it is necessary to 'drop out of combat'  to complete the Taunt  action.
This has the consequence of immediately making the character 'flat-footed', with any inherent penalties, until you resume combat. (or another action)

From the above link:

"Taunt counts as an offensive action but is not an attack per se."
