Vine mine not working

Bioware Name:  Bill1199

Date of Occurence:  6/16/2010

Place of Occurence:  Dregar; Forest of Fog

Description of bug:

Zigruum casted the 5th level druid spell, Vine mine at the forest giants.  [LORE]Vine Mine[/LORE]  Out of the three variations of vine mine, Zigruum used hamper movement speed which is supposed to hamper movement of those affected by half.  The giants were unaffected and did not roll any saves in the logs. (see attached screeny)

In Lore it calls for a special save but doesnt say whether its a reflex save, etc.  I've used this in the past on PC's and it does affect them but they too did not roll saves.  Freedom of Movement protects PC's from the effects.

To my knowledge the forest giants do not have immunities to slow.  When they run into the vines the giants get the grease purple visual effect but are not slowed.

1)  Are allies/enemies supposed to be rolling saves, maybe reflex when in the spells area of effect?

2)  Why were the giants unaffected, are they immune or is this a bug.?

I'm curious there esd an update to this script a while back. Do you know if it's still a bug last time you checked?

Hey,

It appears to be working!  I tried the vine mine spell (hamper movement variant) against some great forest giants with Zig today and they did get slowed.  The giants didn't attempt any saves vs. the effects but I think this is the way it's intended.  According to the lore page only the entangle variant allows for a save.
