CDQ question

I read the guidelines for prestige classes, and I know that a character has to be lvl 10 in order to have a cdq, but I was wondering at what point should I put in the request for that prestige class and the cdq?  I am currently lvl 9, and I understand that the gms all have very busy schedules, so should I ask in advance of getting to lvl 10?  Thanks in advance.

Well, it's actually allowed to take a CDQ for a prestige class before level 10 - matter of fact, it's the only exception to the level 10 rule (though you can participate in others' CDQs if you're under 10th level).

I'd advise going ahead and submitting for the PrC - if you've kept your Dev Thread up to date, and it's not a complex PrC, you might be approved without a CDQ. Then again, you might now.
