Iron Oxide resubmit for Dwarven Defender
« on: September 15, 2015, 07:44:53 pm »
Hello, Ive been playing Iron as a secondary charecter for about 2 years now and I realize I haven't kept up with his CDT as often as may be presribed, but I'd like to request permission to start a CDQ story line for him to become a dwarven defender. He is close to getting to level ten and has the prerequisite feats met, I'm fairly certain he has the other mechanical prerequisites met as well such as BAB +7. I've already asked Karma-Virus/Brewmaster if he would like to run it and he said yes. Iron has also been fighting alongside his Dwarf PC, Belmir Goldenaxe a bit lately so he knows Iron's personality.Link to Iron's Original backstory/submission: http://layonara.com/threads/10162240-iron-oxideLink to Iron's CDT: http://layonara.com/threads/10162297-iron-oxides-big-bookCheers!

Hello Swoop,

I somehow missed this coming in. I just wanted to post a note that I'm looking at it and hope to get back to you tomorrow.

Thanks in advance for your (continued) patience.

Hi again Swoop,

Sorry again for the delay.

So, Dwarven Defender is a WLDQ level PrC. (See here for the break down.) It's one of the classes that are pretty much exactly the same in vanilla NWN as Layo. The idea of a Dwarven Defender is that s/he becomes so honorable and honored among dwarves that s/he gains sponsorship from some wealthy Dwarven Someone and is set upon the world to teach all what a Real Dwarf is. The tag line for DD is often something to the effect of 'the Dwarf's Dwarf'. (You can catch the actual text of the description here if you need/want to.)

The core of what a DD represents is absent from your CDT entries. The sporadic nature is irrelevant with these missing elements. I'm wondering if you have some log bits and/or GM testimony that could be offered in addition to the CDTs to display this sort of attitude and moral compass that might be pointing Iron down this path. The combination of either or both of those along side the CDTs would probably push things forward, assuming the necessary content is there, of course. (No presumptions of anything here, I just hate to state anything that might come across as an open ended promise.)

Get back to me on this and I'll be able to advise a path from there.

Thank you,
