Miscellaneous Information: Hlint is a boom town. Of course, it is neither as grand as Leilon to the northwest nor as established as Fort Llast to the west. Nevertheless, it has grown in just about every aspect due to several clear reasons. Hlint fortuitously lies on unarguably the most secure and therefore most traveled east-west passage on the continent of Mistone. On the north side of this well-trodden road are the Greypeak Mountians, and the Sielwood Forest grows to the south. Both the mountains and the woods beckon to would-be adventurers and resource seekers, bringing them in droves from all over the continent.
Because of this, Hlint has become the adopted home of most of those who call themselves adventurers on the continent of Mistone. Some of the great heroes of our age have made roots in this bustling town. This also means that Hlint has been the stage for countless dramas, some universal, some inane, and some far reaching in their global sociopolitical ramifications.   Hlint has also seen its share of battles, most notably those with the Dark Elves. For some reason, the Dark Elves have started to eye Hlint as prime real estate. It is unknown whether they seek Hlint for the secure and therefore most traveled east-west passage to stop travel, or for some other, more sinister plot.   Among the recent attacks staged by the Dark Elves was the nearly successful full assault on Hlint, where they managed to slay most of the adventures then defending the town, as well as many citizens when they poured from the crypts below Hlint. There have also been a few scattered attacks by some highly trained drow assassins that managed to poison some of the most powerful adventurers in Hlint.  The most memorable attack in recent history by the Dark Elves was the near total destruction and short occupation of Hlint, at the end of the 1360s. A few years later, the Dark Elves also destroyed the crafting houses and trade establishments in Hlint as well as all across Milstone.  In more recent years, Hlint has also been attacked by an unknown figure believed to have been Blood who laid waste to part of Hlint.   Despite these recent disruptions to daily life in Hlint it continues to draw all manner of creatures and adventures hoping to become the heroes of tomorrow.  A temple of Ilsare can be found here as well.
