Suggestion: Spells Added To Food

It could be argued, perhaps, that food crafting is one of the least beneficiary crafts. Sure, it's fun, but when you think about it the effort put into the craft does not meet the product gained; unless in a merely RP value. High end craft food such as pies no longer hold the same value they did when only a few could make them, and with the recent addition of the Special Drinks vendor at Stormcrest, everyone can buy the drinks that it would take a cook/brewer time and effort to gather the materials for and finally make.

This is why I suggest the following: Higher end foods casting certain spells.
It could be like a poor man's alchemy. Certain higher end foods on use could cast things such as a low end Version of Endurance, or the other enhancement spells, Dragon's breath could be added to say, Firewhiskey or other such drinks...

Other Spells that could be added to food:

    Iron Guts
    Sleep
    Prot. From Alignment
    Ghostly Vistage
    Invisibility
    See Invisibility

These are just raw ideas, but I think it would increase the value of higher end crafted food, and make the effort put into them equal the result.

I like the idea. In the whole Trade and Market Ahll is not a single thread (I think) the advertises food. A price that would be fair for the time and work put into this products would be far away from what someone would be willing to pay.

A spell that would make sense might be Bulls strength for example.

I always wanted a spicy chickenwings recipe which made the character smoke when he ate them, or spew forth a burning hands firey cone if he failed his fort save.  The sauce would be 90% alchemists fire. :P

This has been posted about a few times before. Usually the team says it's something that there just isn't enough time for.

Sadly, food crafting remains as a secondary CNR skill.

I don't think any more CNR items will be added because of a limit hit in the module. It was stated in that fish CNR thread that I can't link to right now.

Regarding the drink vendor, I have to add that there was already one in game, so those drinks have always been available for purchase. They were just made more expensive, and in an out of the way location so that not everyone would be aware. In addition, it's not a permanent stock. You buy one, it's gone until server reset.
