A Bundle of Letters, Tied in Twine

You come across a stack of letters, neatly tied with a piece of twine.  Undoing the twine, you pick up the first letter.  "To Miss Adria Liadon, care of the Temple of Folian, Forest of Fog, Rael Kingdom, Dregar" is printed neatly on the outside of the folded sheets of parchment.  Unfolding the first, you begin to read...

*this letter is written on the back of a voided boat ticket, in neat handwriting done with a very sharp quill*

Dear Sunshine,

I'm sorry I haven't written before this, but you know me - I usually have scarce time enough to sit down and write anything before I'm off to whatever I've next on my schedule.

How is the Temple?  I heard your Mom and your Uncle Tim got to see you just the other day - I was jealous!  I miss my little ray of Sunshine around the house!

You wouldn't have recognized me recently, though.  Your Uncle Kell, so good at hide and seek (except when you outsmart me, of course!), stumbling across the square in Hempstead, or down the streets in Leringard, hauling a bag of sand as heavy as I am!  I just came into a bunch of coal, and... well, again, Sunshine, you know me.  I just have to see what I can make with it.  And (as your Uncle Tim might tell you), I've been making things with it.

You know how the sword I gave you to play with (until your Mom found out and made me take it back) could zap things, just a bit?  The same way you can with your finger after you've been playing on your Mom's bearskin rug?  Now Uncle Tim can make swords do that, thanks to what I've been making with the coal.

Oh, and that ring I gave you, so you'd be better at hide-and-seek?  Well, I went out and bought a better one.  You'll never find me now, Sunshine!

Not much more room left on this, so I'll just let you know that your Uncle Galan and Aunt Mirrim love you and miss you too, and I promise I'll visit soon - I have to try out my new jewelry on someone, don't I?

Love,
Uncle Kell.
