Minor tedious thought

Given the darkness that is to be RP'd from the final battles, perhaps alter the outdoor areas of the server to all have "thunderstorm" stormy skies.
  Just a thought *shrugs* but given the vast amount of areas, coupled with the overworked GM team seems tedious. Still, food for thought. Oh and perhaps alter the weather to make it rain more often and snow more often. Oh but then we get into coding issues. A pain there too!

Oh and... since there's no Sun... would the Drow light-sensivity be disabled?

There's light, just not direct sun.

Even so, that's possibly a good point - dust that obscures the sun would reduce the ambient light levels considerably, and Drow would be less likely to be blinded by the light.  If it's the same intensity as a bright overcast day, they'd still be in trouble, but if we're talking thunderstorm dark, Drow should be able to handle it fairly well.

 Going from total darkness your entire life, to an overcast day is still a shock I would imagine. What? I go outside. Shaddap.

 From even artificial light of indoors, let alone darkness of underground, to the brightness of a clear night after a loong period of time, can also be a shock requiring minor adaptation.   What? I don't go outside. Shaddap.  Consider the difference in photography between an artificially lit room (however bright it looks), to a heavily overcast day.
