After a long week slogging through the swamps of Alindor, then a bit of shopping in Katherian, Kell finally arrived at Bloody Gate.  He went into the Stone Tankard to get a drink, only to be welcomed to the Wild Surge by the hostess!

He suspects that the poor dwarven lass took one too many rocks to the head.

Most of the other hostesses also seem to believe that it's still the middle of the dark age, judging by their comments on the lack of good food.  Sure there'd still be some shortages, but there've been at least a few growing seasons since then.
