Forum Clocks
« on: March 18, 2007, 02:02:33 pm »
I was looking at the calendar, and noticed that the clock at the top right corner and my computer clock don't match, with the forum clock one hour fast (EDT).  Then I noticed that the clock at the bottom center of the forum page is one hour slow compared to my computer clock, and two hours slow compared to the upper right forum clock.

I have included a .jpg to show the clocks with three different times, all images taken within a few seconds of each other.

EDIT:  Sorry I missed the previous thread earlier, but the upper and lower clocks are still not in synch.

Hmm. yep, the lower clock is wrong. The top clock is correct.

The bottom clock is coming from the forum software (vbulletin) and I don't think they have a patch to handle the 3 week early change in daylight savings. Not sure if that is it or not, but I think it is.

can we sticky a post to let people not living in the uk know the forums are reacting to greenwich mean time and not their local time
i know it says so at the very bottom in small print but maybe at the top to help those who dont convert them so easy

i just check the calendar and it said its friday already  and its 830 at night

Is this still an issue?  They appear fine for me?  They always have...

Just to clarify:

The top clock is based on your computer's time and adjusted accordingly.
The bottom clock is based on your vBulletin time you have set up.
