TA crash loops

I was TAing from hemp crafthalls are to the main square using the TA by the angels guild hall. I got stuck in a crash loop. After 6 trys I went to options to check in shiney water was on. It was not, but the next time I tried to log on it worked. I have seen this happen before in one other area.

There's nothing terribly special about that area, though it's possible there was some other transient cause, such as a horse moving past or tied down nearby.

I used to have the very same problem in Vehl. I don't know whether it was the tileset, or something else, but 90% of the times I went to Vehl, I crashed. On Vista, not once. So it definitely might have something to do with more arbitrary factors like your GFX and drivers and so on.

NWN is one evil little game, so much depends on luck if you want it to run fine.

I have see this happen to two other people.  They would be in Hempstead and and would keep crashing trying to get logged back in.

One again this time trying to get off the boat in hempstead docs. This is twice to me and once to chongo/abiorn that I have seen this happen.

So I logged on as a GM and went to the TA drop off spot and as soon as I got there my GM client crashed as well.

Edit: Yep both clients crash on load now
Edit 2: My other characters can log on just nothing that is on the hempstead docs TA drop off point.
Edit 3: Logged on another character and went to the same spot with the same crash results.

I know that Jrizz is running OSX - what are other people experiencing this crash running?  Because I've used that AT a dozen times in the last week with no ill effects.

As have I with no ill effects before. The same with the last TA this happened on. I used them both regularly. But this time the drop zone has become a crash zone for me. When this happened to Abiorn the only way to get him out was to have a GM port him as soon as he saw him load. The last time this happened to me I just kept trying to change settings and re log and eventually it worked.

One again this time trying to get off the boat in hempstead docs.

So the docks area crashes, too? I don't get that.

When you take a boat to port hempstead you are dropped at the edge of the dock. That tile set is my crash zone. Even if I log on another character and run to that tile from another direction (like coming on foot from hemp main) once my character gets to that tile my client crashes.

And now it works :S this is one squirrelly bug.

And so it has happened again this time on the TA going from warrior lake to the crossroads (the peaks). Same thing I hit a TA that I have been through many many times but this time it crashes me and I cant get back on. If it holds true then I will get back on some time later but I dont yet know what change allows that to happen (server reset, client change, another player going through the same TA......).

Logged on as a GM and went to the same TA with the same results. I was talking to Dezza during this one (he was on as Sasha). He said he has seen it happening a few times as well. We both agreed that it started about a month or so ago.

By running my GM avatar through the same TA (and crashing my GM client) I was able to log my character back on. Then Tanman ported me so I did not try the TA again. So it may be that once someone else uses the TA then I can log back on. But I can be sure of that conclusion until I can test it again.
