Invisible New Chest Styles

Description: I am able to log into the server just fine with the new haks, so that should indicate that everything is working fine, however there are serveral new chest of the new style placed into the Angel's Guild hall, that I can neither see, or interact with. I have reinstalled the new hak to make sure my files are good. I have gone out of the guild hall and come back in, with no luck. I have also included a picture of what I see... nothing... There were several of the new chests placed by Ferrit on 03/13.

Reproducable: Yes since I can walk out of the guild shop and back in, and the chests still do not appear.

I assume you've tried relogging just to check as well?

Also just because you can get in fine doesn't necessarily mean the haks are not corrupt or anything unfortunately. I'd suggest you give downloading the plc hak again just to be sure. I did exactly what you said and downloaded and overwrote the current files but it is still not showing up. I have left come back and no love. Is there maybe a nwn override file in addition that I should have, that allows the visual for the crates, or would that be the specific file I just downloaded to make sure is overridden? I just can't figure out why this is not showing up for me. The rest of the crates are... and usually if I am missing a file, it lets me know when I try to log in. 

I am not a complete idiot really.. yes sometimes I am technically challeneged but.. this is easy stuff.

No, there'd be no override necessary or else it wouldn't be working for others and myself.

Do you see the existence of the crates when you hit <tab> or <space>? Perhaps it's a texture thing and maybe suggesting downloading the layo_tga.hak from http://e5bf79fd7133583b11df-dabb80c66fac67c5c4cbee545d8dd728.r44.cf1.rackcdn.com/haks/layo_tga.rar just to be sure would be an option.

Do you have anything in your override folder yourself? I don't suppose you have a placeables.2da in there?

The only files that are impacted by this change are in the layo_plc.hak (3d models for the crates) the layo_tga.hak (textures for the crates) and the layo_ctrlv3r20.hak (change in placeables.2da)

Thank you Orth for the links. I had to play around with the downloads, the links you provided. 

I did get errors on 3 files. 

layo_hak

layo_misc

Layo_tiles. 

 

So I wound up clearing out my layo folder, refreshing my downloads, refreshing my installation of Layo, and then I hit the error of.. you do not have the file layonara_v29.tlk, soooo I went back through my old downloads to find this specific file, and then downloaded the main file you provided the link for in the original post for http://layonara.com/threads/10163197-version-340-is-online. I made sure both downloads were in the folder, and I wanted to cover my bases and used the main file too.. I was not taking any chances.. 

 

What I want to say is that through all this trial and error. The final result is....... I can see the chests now YAY!!! Thank you for your help Orth and Ferrit for digging through the forum for links to help me!
