I just got this interesting piece of equipment, and its darkness use doesn't work. It says "You must rest again before using this ability", but after I rest it still tells me to rest again. All other abilities work as they should.

Heh,  Did someone make an oopsie in the toolset and put the "feat: drow darkness" on the item rather than "cast spell: darkness"?

Exactly that, the description of the item says Bonus Feat: Darkness.

oh might be the assassin darkness too.

If you're not a drow a tiefling or an assassin you won't be able to do anything with it heh.

I just tested this and it seems to work fine. It must be equiped to be used, and the Darkness can only be used 1/day.
  It is Cast Spell: Darkness, not a creature/class ability.

I agree. Ive found it too and Darkness works fine

Hmm, I might need mine to be replaced, it still shows as Bonus Feat: Darkness.

Maybe you need to wear it on resting.

I did I think they got updated and mine is still the previous version, since its ability is still the bonus feat, instead of cast spell.
