Stephen_Zuckerman:
In the character submission wizard, upon trying to preview/submit a Lawful Evil Dark Elf, a message pops up about the extended alignment restrictions. (Presumably regarding the starting alignments allowed for the "evil" races.)

However...

LORE: Alignment Rules
"The following races must start out as CN, TN, NE, or [SIZE=16]LE[/SIZE][/COLOR]: Dark Elf, Half Orc, Half Giant, Half Ogre, Orc, Goblin, and Duergar."
