for some reason messages aresometimes benig cut in half.
My friend D4nny D1 has noticed this aswell.
Any idea why it may be doing this?

Yeah, this has been happening with us, it is getting particulery annoying, esspecially on my Character Submission page... >:/

Is he writing it in Word and pasting?
If so, there's a known issue with Word's apostrophes and quote marks that cause messages to get truncated.

Its not only word, but wordpad and other things. It has something to do with how the forums are handling special characters and how those other applications (even a plain-jane one like wordpad) don't encode them like the forums expect. Not sure what else to say. I simply do not use ' " - -- and such when I type long messages and then copy/paste in to the forums. It doesn't look as nice but it does end up working in the long run. If you are typing directly in to the forum submission though it works fine, the copy/paste just does not work very well at all.

If you're using Windows as an operating system, I've found that plaintext text editors like Notepad or Notepad++ (http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/site.htm) seem to avoid the special characters that the forum dislikes.

A small tool that I just created in 15 minutes or so:
Text Cleaner for Layonara (http://www.tomshardware.se/chen/text_cleaner.php)
Just paste your text from word into that page and push the "clean" button.
I bet it's not handling all the weird cases, but I hope it's working well enough for most purposes already...
Edit: Changed a little... read the warnings!

I dont have problem with notepad myself. Also some time when I work from word I use the clear formatting option. Some time it works sometime it doesnt.
