Title: Log in
Post by: Ke' Koa on November 28, 2009, 06:28:24 pm
Sooo....

After being gone for the last year or so I have tried to login.  I get to the point where I pick my character I would like to play.... but there is not one to pick.  I used to have about 3 characters I liked to play so not sure what the deal is.  Did you guys do some spring cleaning on the server or something?  Any help will be appreciated...  I could start a new guy if I have to...

Make sure you are logging in with the same bioware account that the characters were made under.  We do not delete characters from the vault unless directed to by you. We also cannot retrieve your bioware information, you have to do that thru their website.

I am logging into the same bioware name, but I couldn't remember my password so I had it reset.  I have reloaded the game and all the hak files, could that effect it?

Could you post your Bioware name here so we can look into the possible reason?  My memory's good, but not that good (though I remember you surely)

As well, the name of one of your characters might be good.

Just to cover the basics, the Bioware account name you are using is "Ke' Kai" (sans double-quotes, one space after the quote, no trailing spaces)?

Reloading the haks won't affect it. Reloading the game might affect it in as far as the settings in the "nwnplayer.ini" can store the Bioware account name in the "[Profile]" section using the "Player=" parameter.

@Dorganath,

This is him (http://lore.layonara.com/Profile/ke%20Koa) (iirc).

*thinks someone was trying to login as "Ke'Koa" rather than "Ke' Kai"* ;)

Okay folks (for all the other readers), you can see why, when you are asking someone else to do problem solving on your behalf, how it behests you to be up front with the details.

As a starting point, you should provide all the information that you are using to do what you are doing.

So in this case, logging on, so who are you logging in as?

The other starting point is that the problem is quite possibly due to something you are doing, even if it doesn't seem that way.

That's why explicitly stating what you are doing to someone else helps to confirm what you are doing is correct, or expose the fault in what is being done.

Once that has been eliminated, then the system can be looked at.

Hope this helps.
