Some searches are not returning results

When I do a search on the forums for things I know are in posts are not being returned.  I get the message that Nothing matched my search or something like that.  I've tried changing the default settings but nothing seems to work.

Example:  in this thread the term Compound Bow Cam is present in more than one place but no results are displayed if I search on an individual term or partial terms.  If I search on the entire phrase I do get results.

Any ideas?

Searches for words with three letters or less will bring undesired results unless I add each word to a special list.  If anyone feels like helping by compiling a list of oft searched words that fall in this category, I can add them.

For reference here are the existing words:

irc ooc rp con dex cha str int wis bow cam. Just added the last two, these won't work until the search index is rebuilt though, which I won't do at busy times as it's server intensive
