After spending a couple hours online with support today, it has been determined that my video card on my laptop is kaput.  
 
 Hopefully they will be out tomorrow to install a new one, but as of now, I have not been contacted by the technician to schedule a time.  As such, I may not be able to attend the Troll King's quest tomorrow night.  
 
 I am keeping my fingers crossed.  
 
 I will be back in game as soon as my laptop is repaired!!

argh. good luck!  Laptops are such a pain to replace parts for, and so prone to overheating.  On the bright side though, at least it seems to be dying of old age rather than flying beverages... nothing spells tragic like laptop beer-spilling cats.  How I lost my last one, they determined that both items were of immeasurable value to me, and decided to destroy them both in their angry kitten rage.
