Slightly off topic but answering some of Sasha's specific actions in that game..

 Sasha stated...

5/   For Sasha she was committed to the Law of the Land, to not breaking the tentative trust that the Rofireinites have built up with Rael and to gathering intell about a potential future threat to the authority in Lor if a standing army ever gets approved.

6/  Can you imagine Rael in Prantz without any restrictions?

The Rofireinites are fighting a war in Rael, a war for stability, for moderation, for the future.

The Rofireinites battle in Prantz is not a short term thing, its a constant wearing down of Rael, of small acceptances, of minor inroads, slowly but surely with the ultimate goal of providing a strong lawful nation with proportional Justice and fairness for all innocents.

 and my thoughts....

This relates to one of the Lor quests, and the language of the latest reporting there, (reproduced as below) points towards some subtle successes in that area.

A party of volunteers and a strong detachment of Rael regulars worked well together due to the presence there of a number of well known law abiding citizens held in general good esteem by the forces of Rael.

The point here which is perhaps a bit like the debate  - there are different thoughts and views to the same set of circumstances.

For the record...I as GM merely seek to put alignment, Deity, and consequences on the agenda...I readily accept many different visions on this endless debate...but for game reasons will occassionally outline any likely consequences if I think they are approaching in game.

That merely being a RP opportunity - rather than any judgement of player thoughts.

I do not think Sasha played her role inappropriately at all, and does not need to defend her actions. I thought she played her alignment perfectly, and the explanations help fill out some gaps in my knowledge of her. So thanks Dezza.

Ionnarin writes:

In my opinion, Lawful characters follow *a* set of laws, and while they would be reserved against breaking any laws in foreign lands, they would not recognize the legitimacy of the laws of their enemies.
I find I disagree (although I may not be reading Ionnarin's point properly). Let me explain why.

In my opinion and from what I have seen, Sasha is Lawful and follows laws, regardless of whose law it is and whether she agrees with them or not. This sort of action accords these laws the legitimacy they imply and I think is correctly played. I thought she played her part in the latest encounter with the Rael troops absolutely perfectly.

On the other hand, some characters are Chaotic, so feel they are not bound by laws, but must still accept their existence and any penalties they may incur for breaking them. The difference here is that a Chaotic character would have no problems with breaking or circumventing a law, unlike the Lawful character who should not.

And Mixafix? Well set up with some really nice, subtle, alignment issues that I would say the players handled really well, so thanks to you and the others.
