"However if you're dumb enough to go past the Bone Dragon Golem's sentry than you deserve to be killed."
Hehehehe.... Well, yes, But.... to those who don't know where it is, I imagine, if they heard somthing large causing echoes throughout the mountains, they would turn their backs and flee. Unless of course they are still dumb enough to venture further. Then, by all means, let them be dragon food. :)
Of course, I am really just playing Devil's advocate
I am the one with a character who WANTED to go see the bone dragon, despite the warning that "There is no way to view the dragon without engaging in a fight" and "We will probably all die"

I like the idea of dragging it into battle for our side-many advantages!!!!

but, someone would have to sacrifice themself.  And since I don't have haste, it wouldn't be me, so I wouldn't care much.  BUT when the war is started, many people will be sacrificing themselves, might as well be for something usefull, eh?

Tell that to Gloin when he was killed in Dalanthar by it.

You are not ust killing yourself when you get it riled, you are killing everyone that goes near there. The sentry is there yes, but only comes into play after the first person. After that, it is a free ride straight into it's clutches.

My original post was a warning and trying to save some folks. Next time, I guess I will let everyone else just 'run' into it. That is what a 'dumb' person would do anyway. *shrugs*

To my knowledge, the dragon golem won't just 'wander' into Dalanthar on its own. Someone would probably have to lead it there, unless I don't know all the ways the game mechanics work (I don't clamin to be an expert there) However, I don't think monsters switch areas on their own unless following a PC.

I agree that anytime the Golem gets dragged into that poor town, the sorry person that findsit there gets screwed. And anyone who dies in such a fashion should be reimbursed. However, I don't like the idea of it getting dragged into town. If people want to play with it in the Rift, then they can die without dragging the thing off into Dalanthar.
