    Allowed PrC's
    « on: October 29, 2005, 04:03:00 pm »
I'm sure this has been answered more then once before, I just don't seem to be able to find the "complete" answer I'm looking for, so could someone
[orange] please post me a complete list of allowed PrC's? [/orange]
however impossible they might be to be approved of  ;)
I've read the handbook and it says Arcane Archer, Shadowdancer, Shifter and Dwarfen Defender and then the list of Layo specific, but I recall having seen Weapon Masters - and then I heard rumors that one could even become a Red Dragon Disciple, thought that was VERY hard, near impossible - understandable enough...

    Hope someone can answer this

    Three words:

      Layonara Player's Handbook

      Two more:

      Read it.

erm...he said he has read it. the layo hand book only mentions the stuff that layo has added. to look up the weapon master and such you will have to look in NWNs manual.
I may be wrong but i haven't found it yet......*shrugs* unless its on the forums somewhere.

Right.  The standard NWN PrCs are listed in the NWN/SoU/HotU manuals, the Layo player's handbook has extras PLUS the caveats regarding some of the standard NWN PrCs....RDD and Assassin spring to mind.
The information is easily available. While maybe not all on this forum, but it's easy enough to find.
It would take far less effort to look up this information in the references I mentioned than it would for someone to go and compile the list here.

To answer another part of the question...
RDD is heavily restricted. I think one must be epic to even be considered for RDD, and the CDQ required would be insanely tough.  Not impossible, but hard enough that most people won't just say, "yeah, I'll try that....might be fun".
The Assassin PrC is restricted because the Evil alignment is restricted.  To become an Assassin, you must first become Evil.  To become evil, you have to fulfill certain requirements and convince the GM team that you can handle it within the boundaries of Layonara.
There's more, but as I said, all of this is available.

      From the character submission guide:
        http://www.layonaraonline.com/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=10666&posts=1
"Layonara uses the standard D&D classes, custom prestige classes and the prestige classes NWN's expansions Shadows of Undrentide and Hordes of the Underdark introduced, with the exception of the harper scout, blackguard, and champion of Torm being changed to better fit Layonara."

        Thanks ;)
That seems to answer it...  all are available but some like the RDD and those requiring evil alignment are tougher/more restricted to be allowed to take...

that just wasn't what I got from reading (in the handbook):
        Quote
Not all Prestige Classes (PrCs) that are available for NWN, SoU and HotU are allowed on Layonara Online. Allowed PrCs are Arcane Archer, Shadowdancer, Shifter and Dwarfen Defender.
... (some more about the requirements)...
Several Layonara specific PrCs have also been created see below. ...(some more)

Sorry I missed the paragraf in the submission guide concerning the matter, that pretty much said it all...

EDIT: just added the last line
