Go to "my computer" and open the drive that has your files (in my case it's drive C)
Open the NWN file
Within the NWN file will be your Hak and your TLK folders. If there is no TLK folder you will need to create one.
If you cannot find the NWN file you can use the start menu and type "Neverwinter", then enter.
You will then use your zip program (Winzip, 7zip, Peazip, etc.) to “unzip, decompress, or extract” the files to the appropriate Hak, Tlk, or override folders. When you highlight the file in this program there should be an extract button somewhere that will prompt you for the location you found in step 1 above. If you do not have a zip program installed on your computer you will need to download one.
Give a shout if you still need help.
Also, you will need to obtain your character approval before you actually start to play. Looking forward to seeing you in game! :-)

Hey I think that worked. However I am unclear which files from the NWN Download page should be in the hak folder and which files should be in the tlk folder.
Good to go!
All the ones that end in .hak should go in the hak folder and I believe there is only one called layonara_v29.tlk that goes in the .tlk folder...
Also, keep in mind that there are quite a few optional files that can go in your override folder. Although you can play without them, there will be custom heads, music, etc. you will not be able to experience in game... and you may encounter players that look like "headless horseman." ;-) I strongly suggest downloading them too.

Thanks so much Ravemore! I think It is all good now, but I guess after my character gets approved and I am in game I will have to see if there are any headless horsemen running around lol. Thanks again.
You're very welcome!
