playing in a window
« on: January 26, 2008, 05:43:06 am »
can anyone tell me how to play NWN in a window instead of having to play full screen.
I know there is a toggle in the NWN configurations setting (0 for full or 1 for window) which i have tried both ways and it is still in full screen.

My OS is vista.

Thanks in advance for any help.

To see the window the resolution has to be smaller than the size of your monitor. Otherwise you won't see it. I play in a window so I can keep notepad open at the side to take notes. It doesn't take the quality away just the size is different. (smaller)

The size is just smaller, the quality the same and I usually have 2-3 other apps open when I play [IRC, OO,forums].  Takes some getting used to, especially in combat.... Now I can't play full screen anymore.

i want to play in a window at time to cut and paste in some text quickly.
switching between full screen to text editor takes too long to do.

Multi monitor here. *raises hand*. With NWN full screened it minimizes if you go over and click on something in the other monitor..

Windowed mode - with the window nearly as big as the monitor screen.

Then my Mac is set up with Expose for ease of moving windows and seeing the desktop.

Only problem is if I switch to full screen I cannot go back to windowed without changing the resolution and shutting down nwn.  A small price to pay for the awesomeness that is Mac ;):D
