Listen to MJZ!  She's smart!

Seriously, Meds aren't always to be trusted.  I blame some of my lazy and appathetic nature on Ridilen and Aderal.  I have/had A.D.D. and that medicine made me boring...  To focused on things that now I'm the opposite without it.  (I refuse to go back to relying on medicine)

Even when I'm sick I just let it ride...  If it was meant to kill me then maybe I should just let....  Nah I'm KIDDING!  But I dont go running for Tylenol and Advil when a cold or whatever rears its ugly head.  allergies too.  I'm gonna feel this way anyway when the meds wear off, so just suck it up and you'll get over it faster...

What people are saying is true (I had a friend who took the drugs, but had to get surgery later anyway), but I would advise you to just find out what options you have, and what are the good sides and bad sides of each.  Neither surgery nor drugs is without risk. While I and the others here can offer advice and anecdotes, none of us (so far as I know) are medical experts. Informing yourself is the best thing to do right now. Find some quality medical resources and read a bit before making any decisions.

With that, *hug,* hope you get better quickly, and my thoughts are with you.

I'm two days late, but I still wish you the best, Kinai.  Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks everyone :) And no worries, I trust my doctor. He wouldn't prescribe if he didn't have to!

On the downside, it'll take months for the medicines to do their full job, but... Hey, better than not working at all!

Better every slow day,
//Christine

Glad to hear you know whats going on.

Just to let you know...you may want to give Chinese medicine a try. Especially if your leary about hte drugs you may have to be on for a long time.

Chinese medicine has a long history of dealing with these things successfully (about 4 thousand years).

The acupuncture part can deal with any pain your in pretty effectively nad also help your body deal with the getting rid of the cyts nad hopefully prevent you from getting them again.

Herbal medicine would be highly advised also, btu it tastes like mud adn can be pretty foul. But it works great nad is tailored specifically to you and your condition.

I am a bit biased towards the medicine since I am about ot graduate (2 months woohoo!) but I also come from a background of western medicine. Both have their place and neither can do everything, but for chronic conditions especially, the Chinese medicine can be a far greater help.

Just though I would throw that out there for ya.

Good luck!!:D

There is some website that shows studies on drugs, would have to dig it out somewhere, but they are there.

At least now you know what you are facing, keep your chin up.

Right now, to prevent getting into a whole huge confusing issue, Christine, just stick to western medicine.

If it doesn't work, then look into the other (very good!) options available. Acupuncture and reflexology are typically very good for dealing with chronic conditions, and most herbal remedies do NOT taste like mud. :P Besides, all that most medicines are are the substances in those herbal remedies, concentrated and "purified."

For now, though, just stick with modern medicine.
