Silly newbie question

Hi.  Newbie here.  heh.   Had a question.

I logged in the server and went through the opening scenes.  When I clicked on the statue I lost most of my inventory including two spells, my dicebag, and my emote wand.  Is this supposed to happen?

Gah, I should have slept before playing but I was excited about getting approved.  =)

Hello and Welcome to Layonara

As to your question, yes that is supposed to happen the first time you log in to Layonara with a new character. After that you will recieve a gem of rememberance which will prevent that from happening in the future.

I believe if you relog after you talked with the statue you will recieve a canteen, bread, some gold, the emote wand, the orb of rememberance and other things.

If you read through the statues conversation when you click on it, it does warn that anything not equiped will be taken. As said above rest and relog and you will be given the Layo specific items such as the gem of rememberence, and make sure to bind at the bindstone before going too far as well.

  it'll keep getting better
