      Wow. This is the first online discussion I've seen where people who disagreed weren't at each other's throats. I actually understand both sides, for once, too.

      I think you should RP your character however you think they would act based on their history and beliefs. A half-elf (Teefal) would most certainly be more open minded, whereas a dwarf would most likely hate drow, unless some previous experience changes this.

      My character, Marcan Telo, is more than willing to kill whatever he considers "evil," especially the undead, because of his history. But he recently went up to a dark elf and offered to help him with... whatever he needed help with. This is mostly because of his character (which I based on myself, so I know). Whether he *should* be wary of drow or not, it is in his nature to trust until that trust is broken - with a few exceptions. Also, it seems to me (and also Marcan) that a truly evil dark elf would have trouble pretending to be anything but what he is. Thus, it would be safe to assume that if a drow seems to act OK, then they should at least be given the benefit of  the doubt. But maybe, with a negative drow experience or two, Marcan might change this opinion.
