RP question regarding multiple characters...

Many many people pass through Hlint in a day, and I thought that perhaps, would it be possible for your characters to RP having met your other characters?

I was thinking of this when I was RPing Volrath, and said something to the extent "A scholar of Aragen named Scherzo once told me..."

Just wondering everyone else's thoughts on this.

Well I have often RP'd Buppi and Bilvikki meeting although they don't know each other well.  I mean Buppi would remember a goblin living in Hlint considering it being so, well unusual.  However Bil doesn't really remember Buppi because, well she's just another halfling

I don't see that there's a problem with this, unless it was being used for the wrong reasons, such as talking to certain people/gathering information with one character, and then using it as another who shouldn't be able to know those things.
