Playing god or Crafting oddities

How many of you have been crafting and had the system tell you that you were crafting something other than what you were?

I was enchanting gems the other day and it said "Weston Pendrot crafts enchanted Barbarian"

When I was at the Alchemy table I brewed a Half-Elf

I don't see stuff saying that i crafted something I didnt..

With a lot of people on and lag, I will sometimes see the combine screen saying that i am going to attempt something that I'm not.

(i.e. I'm making choking powder, and I see an ingredient list and a chance for success for oak sandpaper).

It always makes what it is supposed to tho.

All the time. Or, once, I received 2304810291 XP in Infusing for crafting a barbarian something or other that was actually maybe thirty points in instrument crafting for a copper harp.

Heh, I was tailoring the other day and it told me I had successfully crafted about 25 items in gem crafting.  Seeing as how I've never done gem crafting before I'm not complaining because apparently I'm a lvl 12 in it.  *wink*

This happens to me a lot actually over at the enchanting pool in Hlint when making potions. My final creation is correct, but it seems to say i'm making something different ... sometimes i wish it was right

Well, just be glad you werent around during the infancy of the Crafting script. Man, THAT kept life interesting!!

Anyways, you gotta understand that at any time, you've got about 10 people crafting at any given time on West. With all that script floating around, things will get fookered. But usually, from my experience, if you see somehting on the dialog boxes that dont look right, just exit out and start the dialog again, and you'll be straight.

I was making some Lion leather once and it said I was making Cobalt(?) Half Plate AND I was sucessful in making my lion leather, note, I havn't made it yet. I didnt get any items, I just canceled out and started the dialog again and everything was fine.
