    Arrow pricing guide?
    « on: August 05, 2005, 07:24:00 pm »
Anyone have a rough way to calculate the price of crafted arrows?  I used the lens on a hickory bronze tipped stirge arrow and it said 24 gold for each arrow.... seems a bit steep.  Yeah arrows are alot of work but i dont see someone spending 2400 gold on 100 arrows that are level 4 req.

Arrows are not selling very good, but here is my thoughts on arrow pricing.
Assuming one buy the ingredients for 100 arrows at the following prices (using Klugger's pricing):  - Hickory 5 gold each  - Oak 50 gold each  - Mahogany 200 gold each  - Copper nuggets 15 gold each  - Tin nuggets 20 gold each  - Iron nuggets 50 gold each  - Clay 10 gold a lump and you need 5  - Feathers (falcon and raven) 5 gold each and (owl and stirge) 15 gold each
Add labor in relation to type of metal and wood   - copper 1:1; bronze 1:1.5; iron 1:2  - hickory 1:1; oak 1:1.5; mahogany 1:2
Using this logic I have worked the following pricing guide:
      - Hickory copper tipped   500 gold - Hickory bronze tipped   750 gold - Hickory iron tipped     1000 gold  - Oak copper tipped      1000 gold - Oak bronze tipped      1250 gold - Oak iron tipped          1500 gold  - Mahogany copper tipped 2000 gold - Mahogany bronze tipped 2250 gold - Mahogany iron tipped     2500 gold

Maybe those arrow prices should be cut about ten percent; you still gain profit.
