Spools of Thread

Heh, might seem like a dumb question (and probably is) but I can't seem to figure out how to get spools of thread.  I have the hides and the cloth and everything to make armor, but it says I need a spool of thread and I can't see where to make it on any of the tailoring devices.  Do I have to purchase it from a tinkerer or something?  Any help would be very much appreciated.  Thank you.

You can make at the tailoring table, i think (oddly enough) that its under Weapons or Weapon stuffs.
  But it is under something odd like that

Yes, it's at the Tailor's Table, under Weapons and Weapon Stuff. I spent nearly a day trying to figure that out. After searching the forums and asking everyone I could find, I camped in the craft hall until a tailor came along. So you're not alone in being confused by the menu. Is there anything we could do about that? Like change the menu to say Weapons Stuff and Thread or something obvious? Maybe it's just a rite of passage all tailors need to endure

Thus, I figure people crafting spools of thread should need be assassins or of evil allignment.

Took me absolutely ages to find this one out and no-one new, but eventually some kind lady told me.  It's good old spider silk and under the weapons option that everyone has mentioned.  Sielwood is a great place for spidersilk, incase you didnt know.

Because it is quite hard to find, I would recommend being quite a high level before trying to craft it.

Heh, thanks everyone that helped.  I found it.  Now just have to get the spider silk and I'll be good to go.  *grabs his bug spray*
