Tasha's Hideous Laughter should have a spell component

and the only logical thing would be




A rubber chicken

As far as I can tell the spell component may as well be a box of enchanted emeralds.  Why would anyone ever use this spell?  It seems completely useless do to the need to use it on your own race.  Maybe some drow comedian would find it helpful, but I've never seen it used.

I used it alot, it's a very effective spell. It's an auto interupt that also applies a knockdown. Once they are down they are easy targets for the fighters.

The way I see Tasha's, is that the caster tells a really aweful, terrible joke, but the poor sap that's the target of the spell can't help but laugh at it.  You know, something about trolls eating babies that should make you sick, but for some reason it's funny...  in an uncontrollable, side-busting way....
