NWN Pics to .jpg or other easier to read formats
« on: September 02, 2005, 09:09:00 am »
yeah, so, I see many have their char pics as their pic for the forums, and I was wondering, how do I convert (what software do I need) the NWN picture format (can't recall its extension right now and not on my own pc to check) into a .jpg or something equally as readable by picture viewing software?

The GIMP can view *.tga (Targa) files and save them, not to mention in other image formats, too.

To use an NWN pic for your forum avatar

Step 1 - Find the NWN pic you want to use (.tga is the extension)

Step 2 - Find an image editing program that can open .tga's, save .jpg's, and crop/resize images  (there are lots)

Step 3 - Open the tga in said program and make it smaller, set the width of the image to 60 pixels or so, and set the height to whatever makes the proportions correct.

Step 4 - Save edited images as a jpg

Step 5 - Go to preferences on the forums and upload a profile image, then choose the jpg you just made
