A bad day..
We stumbled into a place I guess we shouldn't have been..
Those malar cats looked easy enough but I wasn’t prepared their buddies and the effects of true seeing, regeneration, insta’ death poison and so on..
I decided to return to try to clean up the mess, but after many mistakes, 5 deaths, 1 DT and 50000 XP loss later, I've decided to head back to Hlint and blast away innocent goblins to recover my loss of ‘knowledge’ (lets see, that’s about 2000 goblin tribes I need to eradicate)
The most annoying one was when my own summons blasted me from behind with a lightning bolt, giving me my well deserved DT. (does that count as a PK? ; )
However, There is a Vampire assassin waiting for some unexpecting adventurer in serpent hills.. I managed to kill the one standing right on the transition (the one that was miles away from me when I fled for my life, but was waiting for me on the other side when I went through. even though I know the risk of jumping between transitions when being pursued.)
There is one left ‘near’ the southern transition, which could maybe attack someone storming in unprepared.
And the malars are waiting for some poor sap to enter their area.. also a bit to close to the transition.
I’m not sure how the cleanup scripts work, so I humbly ask a DM to perhaps return this assassin, or move it a bit further into the map.
