well, you're certainly an odd one
Fortunately I think I can help you with this. Do you ever use guitar pro? If not, go to
http://www.mysongbook.com and download it, it'll load up the program the music files (which you also get on that site) and it'll show you guitar tab, standard musical notation, a fretboard simulator and a keyboard, so you can then follow it along as it plays back in MIDI.
I did a quick search for you, they do have the super mario theme on the site (just search for it in the "search tab" box on the left), so if you download the demo version, then the GP file, that should give you what you need.
