I don't think any person booted you. If your character didn't travel there by either sailing or portaling to one of the continents on the central server (if you just log in randomly even though your character is on a continent on the west server), then the server will boot you, as your character isn't actually "there."
Still, best to check with a GM about things if you don't know how to fix the problem (if I was on and you asked the question on the DM channel, I'd have told you to log off and back on, which would have fixed the problem, as you discovered after trying to log onto central), than to try and fix the issue yourself, especially if what you think will fix it might violate the server rules. I don't think you meant any harm to Layo through your actions, as evidenced by your post. Just ask a question on the DM channel first next time, and if you get no response, post in the forums or ask on IRC, and you'll get your answer pretty quick.
