    Trap effects
    « on: July 24, 2006, 08:06:51 pm »
Does anyone know what all the traps do (or at least some of them)?  I can look up what damage weapons do, or what spells do, but I haven't found anything that tells what the traps do.  I'm wondering things like, is it even worth the 18+ ingots of iron for that strong trap?  Or is it worth the risk of sneaking out to place the trap?

The DC would be nice to know also.

Look in the toolset. IIRC we use the standard trap kit progressions.

As to whether it is worth making traps, I'd say resoundingly.. not at all.

Is it worth using them if you have found/bought/recovered them? Definitely. Adds a different angle of strategy to fights. Keep in mind though that some types of traps are just better than others even at the same "level" (weak, average, strong, deadly etc)

Spike traps are generally the worst while lightning traps and acid glob traps are on the nastier side.
