Hello All,
I will keep this as short and sweet as possible since I probably shouldn't be typing in the first place
I did something to my wrist, and I wasn't sure how serious it was at first, but it has been persisting for a month now, and, typing/playing sure doesn't help it any. I have a Dr. appointment this weekend and will find out more.
I have a feeling it will likely be the "well, stop doing whatever it is your doing!" and this is part of that. I''m stepping away from running quests and playing probably until August. Maybe longer.
I sincerely apologize to those of you who were looking forward to the quest tonight, since we have to cancel it entirely. Also for the player with the CDQ in question, I'll be contacting you directly to see how you want to handle this. But, all in all, I'm realizing that I need to stop pushing this injury by thinking that I'll just finish "this one more important thing" because the things that are important never seem to end and I can't keep putting my health in jeopardy.
Best,
Lala/Ananke

Thanks for all the well wishes guys, it means a lot.
I'm heading home (out of town) for the weekend and to my Dr. appointment. So you won't even see me lurking for a few days. I hope the rest will help.
Here's to hoping the Dr. has a few clerical levels of her own.

Hello from the sidelines!
So the x-rays came back clean on my wrist, meaning that there are no issues with the bones or cysts or anything like that. My Dr. said that it could be tendinitis that is causing the underlying problem, but the symptoms are most definitely nerve related. (=ouch!)
I've started working with a physical therapist that specializes in hand, wrist, and arm therapy and was given a new splint and a new brace to help it keep it in the right place when sleeping and help support it when I do work, respectively.
That said, it still has had good days and bad days, and rest is still the best thing for it. Fortunately! -- I have a trip scheduled with my family which will keep me away from the computer, or any strenuous activities that will aggravate my wrist for the next week++ .
I'll be leaving tomorrow and will not be back until after August 4th. My apologies for any loose ends that have been left ("The Gauntlet?" "Wait.. Whats that again?" "oh... you mean you wanted the results?" *coughs*)
But, besides the injury real life has piled on the stresses as well. I'll try and tie up some loose ends tonight, but if not, definitely when I get back -- hopefully a little healthier too!
Thanks again for all of your support and well wishes!
Lala

You should also get those cool-gell keyboard and mouse pads, made specifically for your wrists at office depot. I got them for my arthritic mom, and they work wonders.
