WHY IS DORAX STILL ON THE SERVER?

Some strange happenings with Dorax.  I was on about 4 hours ago and played some, there was a server reset in that time.  When I came back on some people were telling me that there were two of me on at the same time.  Not 2 Doraxes running around in game, but the server status and the player list showed 2 Doraxes.  Same thing happened when I went to Central, anyways, I noticed just now that a "phantom Dorax" is still on the West server.  Is this a problem?  What can I do?  Do I need to do something?

I would try logging in and logging out again if you haven't already
  It also may not be a problem and will disappear in a bit...

Sounds like somebody is playing behind a firewall.... 2 or more please playing behind a firewall without adjust ports cause this sort of problem.

Sounds like its just a server stats glitch that didn't remove him from the page.  He stated that there weren't acctually two of him IG.

Dorax, keep in mind the server stats take a while to refresh sometimes.  If you log off, then log on with a different character fairly quickly and then look at the server stats, it will show you logged in and playing two different characters.

Therefore it is NOT the connection port issue.

Well if it was a server status glitch then it could have been caused from lag. The best way is for him to log in and then log back out to test that theory...give it a few minutes after logging out.

FWIW, last night I noticed that the D_Blaze account was showing logged in to Central as Ralinda AND Dorax on the server status page.  The first is legit, the 2nd is not.  When I logged in as a GM to check this, Ralinda had logged out and all I saw was Dorax in the player list (Lia also, but that's not really important).  However Dorax had no location, as if he was stuck between transitions. I could not jump to the character.

It's the port issue, I'm pretty sure.

You log off and your character stays logged on... Then other players start turning into your character and get that character transfered to their accounts.

*nods* Yeah, it definetly sounds like it.... one does not have to see two of himself when logged on because it is random.

Servers were resetted and problem is fixed now anyway.

I thought it was quiter wierd when I was looking at the website / server status on one monitor while playing the game on the other and noticed that Dorax was in the game but that he was under MY account name ... it didn't show two Dorax's, instead it should two VellynC account users logged into NWN/Layo server ... one user was playing the character Dorax, the other was playing Vellyn. Then my TELL command wasn't working, so I logged off and logged back in. I was myself again but Dorax stole someone else's identity :p

Allright, I'm wrong

but the information I was basing my conclusion on was inaccurate.  There WERE two Doraxs IG.

It was the port issue, sorry about the trouble, I think it is all fixed now.

It still isn't fixed completely.  We ran into the same problem today after logging in on the same wireless server using different ports.  Dorax was visible after he logged off.  He was still viable too.  I dragged a giant over to him as an experiment and he killed it on auto attack.
