Stand alone quest Info Thread

Please note, the starting point for my Monday night (AEST) stand-alone quest is now the Stormcrest Crossroads (no longer Port Hempstead).
As such, feel free to bring your wemics, your drow, your orcs, your half-giants or any other such that might have earned disapproving stares as they walked through the gates of Hempstead.
Cheers,

Stand alone quest - Note

I've had a couple of requests from players if I could give a little heads up each week as to the general idea/theme of that week's quest in order to assist in choosing an appropriate character to bring along ...
I can
try
but it can only ever be a guess. Last week's one (the mischevious mining magnate) was meant to be bashy yet, due to the party's actions, it ended up 95% RP and puzzle-solving!!
Having qualified that, this Monday's one might be ..... dangerous.

I had better buy some more soul stones...then again, no one would really want to resurrect Alandric anyway.
Oh well...thats the way i like it anyway.

I did warn last week's quest was gonna be dangerous! (hehe, who knew a CR13 Elf bandit could cast implosion??) You know, we GMs really don't set out to be too cruel ... but I must confess to a quiet giggle when Sala got stunned whilst standing in the middle of a blade barrier. Fun RP afterwards when other PCs were collecting the pieces of her.
This week's one is
somewhat
more puzzle based/investigative, although again, based on party actions, never can tell ...

Hello again!
Thanks to all the players from Monday night's 'Acids and Alkalines' quest - really thought I was going to witness Layo's first all-in-PvP brawl there for a little while!
This Monday coming, the planned quest
should
be 100% Role Play (unless someone does something I really can't forsee ... which people tend to do!) As such, all levels welcome.
Cheers,

Polak - you should've come in your pyjamas, as it turned out would have been entirely appropriate!! heheh Thanks to all those who participated last week that made it an absolute blast to GM.
Tonight's is another RP based quest (hopefully no shenanigans this time! Kobal and Eld - behave!!!) and again, no level restrictions.

Er, I'm a bit confused on the timezones. At what time would this be, EDT?

Contrary to popular belief, I had
not
been smoking crack prior to running last week's quest! It was an experiment ... with maybe a 70% success rate!
This week's quest will probably be a bit more bashy (is that good english?) and as such, I will have to be somewhat more strict on level range. 8-16.
PS. If you're higher than that, send me a PM ... unless you're a
Quote
non-magician class
and then you can just come along! Hahahaha
*wanders off thinking if others found him half as funny as he finds himself...*

Thanks to Pseudo the master of all GMing styles. I don't know if anyone else noticed by we are getting a wide variety of game styles on these quests. Chaos is the usual result. Fun too!

Yeah... Honestly, I think Pseudo's my personal GM idol.
A bloody good example.
I look forward to the next session.

I just realised this, thanks Pseudo! If my Drow got a high enough level, she could come now!

For some of his quests, the level won't be important at all.
So just, as he says in the calendar description, "feel free to send him a PM."

"These quests, in the interests of serving the greatest number of players possible, will be targeted towards levels 8-16."
I don't wanna cause a fuss if I already have a PC who can join in.

Thanks for the compliments ... I should be humble and say that I am a very average GM, but that would just be false modesty.
This week's quest is a problem solving, detective work type quest. There is, as always, the possibility of combat depending on party actions, but this should be unlikely (unless the forum flattery halts and then there will be a great likelihood of character deaths).
All levels welcome.
