Please note, the starting point for my Monday night (AEST) stand-alone quest is now the Stormcrest Crossroads (no longer Port Hempstead).
As such, feel free to bring your wemics, your drow, your orcs, your half-giants or any other such that might have earned disapproving stares as they walked through the gates of Hempstead.
Cheers,
Pseudonym
-
Good call Pseudo! Never thought of that one aye.
-
Nor me (to be honest). Old man Nibor thought of that one.
:)
-
I've had a couple of requests from players if I could give a little heads up each week as to the general idea/theme of that week's quest in order to assist in choosing an appropriate character to bring along ...
I can try but it can only ever be a guess. Last week's one (the mischevious mining magnate) was meant to be bashy yet, due to the party's actions, it ended up 95% RP and puzzle-solving!!
Having qualified that, this Monday's one might be ..... dangerous. :)
Cheers,
Pseudonym
-
I had better buy some more soul stones...then again, no one would really want to resurrect Alandric anyway.
Oh well...thats the way i like it anyway.
-
I did warn last week's quest was gonna be dangerous! (hehe, who knew a CR13 Elf bandit could cast implosion??) You know, we GMs really don't set out to be too cruel ... but I must confess to a quiet giggle when Sala got stunned whilst standing in the middle of a blade barrier. Fun RP afterwards when other PCs were collecting the pieces of her. :)
This week's one is somewhat more puzzle based/investigative, although again, based on party actions, never can tell ...
Cheers
-
Hello again!
Thanks to all the players from Monday night's 'Acids and Alkalines' quest - really thought I was going to witness Layo's first all-in-PvP brawl there for a little while! :)
This Monday coming, the planned quest should be 100% Role Play (unless someone does something I really can't forsee ... which people tend to do!) As such, all levels welcome.
Cheers,
Pseudonym
-
Good, then I'll metagame and come in my pyjamas.
-
Polak - you should've come in your pyjamas, as it turned out would have been entirely appropriate!! heheh Thanks to all those who participated last week that made it an absolute blast to GM.
Tonight's is another RP based quest (hopefully no shenanigans this time! Kobal and Eld - behave!!!) and again, no level restrictions.
-
Er, I'm a bit confused on the timezones. At what time would this be, EDT?
-
6:30 Am Edt.
-
Wowee. That's early. But I'll try.
-
Contrary to popular belief, I had not been smoking crack prior to running last week's quest! It was an experiment ... with maybe a 70% success rate! :)
This week's quest will probably be a bit more bashy (is that good english?) and as such, I will have to be somewhat more strict on level range. 8-16.
PS. If you're higher than that, send me a PM ... unless you're a non-magician class
and then you can just come along! Hahahaha
*wanders off thinking if others found him half as funny as he finds himself...*
-
Thanks to Pseudo the master of all GMing styles. I don't know if anyone else noticed by we are getting a wide variety of game styles on these quests. Chaos is the usual result. Fun too!
-
Yeah... Honestly, I think Pseudo's my personal GM idol.
A bloody good example. :)
I look forward to the next session.
-
I just realised this, thanks Pseudo! If my Drow got a high enough level, she could come now! :P
-
For some of his quests, the level won't be important at all. :) So just, as he says in the calendar description, "feel free to send him a PM."
-
"These quests, in the interests of serving the greatest number of players possible, will be targeted towards levels 8-16."
I don't wanna cause a fuss if I already have a PC who can join in.
-
Thanks for the compliments ... I should be humble and say that I am a very average GM, but that would just be false modesty. :)
This week's quest is a problem solving, detective work type quest. There is, as always, the possibility of combat depending on party actions, but this should be unlikely (unless the forum flattery halts and then there will be a great likelihood of character deaths).
All levels welcome.
-
It would be false modesty.
Detective work, here I come!
-
Stephen, you missed out, you would have seen Sallaron the urban ranger in his element! heheh, those present will know what I am talking about!
This week's quest (coming) will be ... well, I am finding it hard to predict exactly. Really could go in any number of directions. If you can make it, don your RP hat and we'll go from there.
-
The last one he put us through was quite hilarious at times *Grins*, and the timing is actually good for me I.E. My primetime, thanks pseudonym :)
-
Yeah, I did miss out... Ah, well. There's more to come! :)
-
Please note that I will NOT be able to run the regular quest this Monday coming (2nd July on my calendar) as I will be on holidays for that week. Yay for me! Sorry for the inconvenience ... but yay for me!
There seem to be a few regulars that are able to make that timeslot each week ... why not still meet and organise a player-led adventure that night into somewhere new and wonderful that you have, thus far, not dared to venture?
Cheers,
Matt aka Pseudonym
PS. Yay for me!
PPS. If my idea to venture somewhere new and wonderful leads to mass party deaths and multiple SS losses, I'll deny ever having suggested it.
-
Have a good one....we will struggle on ;)
-
Stephen, you missed out, you would have seen Sallaron the urban ranger in his element! heheh, those present will know what I am talking about!
QUOTE]
Eh? Remind me which one this was?
This where I bashed Allei and Sasha about the head repeatedly?
Or folks found a Portrait of Sall as "customer of the month" in the Lusty Beaver?
-
A little bump to remind that tonight's quest is cancelled due to me being on holidays. Had I mentioned my holidays?
@LordCove: I was thinking of the latter where Sall walked into the Lusty Beaver and it was like a scene from when Norm used to walk into Cheers. heheh
-
NB.
Although tonight's quest is cancelled I have been asked to let people know (by people who are too lazy to create a player event in the calendar, not naming names but it rhymes with Bezza) that there is a trip to Firesteep happening tonight. Party meeting in Leringard at 8.30pm AEST.
Remember your offerings to the Earth guardians ... never know who might be watching.
-
Back!
Tonight's quest, due to time restrictions for setting it up (wife needs the computer for work, pfft, get your priorities right, really, why do I put up with her?) will be a bit bashy. Characters under level 8 come at your own risk.
-
Characters under level 8 come at your own risk.
Can't say I didn't warn you!
Next Monday's quest should be quite a bit less combative and quite a bit more RP and problem solving .... mind you I am keen to see if I can break my record from last week of 3 character deaths in 5.2 seconds.
-
Well you just had to use the Great white shark.....didn't you ;)
-
That shark was so scary... Great setup though, Nechemiah won't forget that adventure...
-
Well you just had to use the Great white shark.....didn't you ;)
Well, I am Australian! It seemed the patriotic thing to do.
When LoTF told me it was an 'epic killer' I thought he meant 'epic' as in a word the cool kids use to describe something, as in:
"Hey man, that skateboard trick was awesome"
"Yeah, it was epic dude."
rather than the alternative that it was a creature quite able to kill epic level characters.
*shifty eyes*
Anyways ... info for this Monday's quest. There is a possibility, not a likelihood but a distinct possibility that, depending on party actions/inactions, the participants in this quest might find themselves in a situation or place which effectively renders them unable to played in 'normal' game until this situation is successfully resolved. If this is the case I will endeavour to run a conclusion to the quest the same time for these characters the very next night.
-
You should also be aware that in discussion with Pseudo it looks like we are going to run alternate Monday nights. So his is this monday and mine the next and vice versa using the same format you are used to for now.
-
Change of plan, Dezza cannot run a quest this Monday (because he is soft and gave into his wife's demands that he be present for her birthday) so I will be running one this Monday and he the next.
This quest to be mainly RP, all levels welcome.
-
All long as that doesn't involve giantesses or wind (http://forums.layonara.com/roleplaying/112615-kudos-great-roleplay-5.html#post542992), I'm sure we will do fine. ;)
-
Giantnesses? Hm... *eander scratches his head*..what is he talking about :D
hehe... let me quote from this thread:
Contrary to popular belief, I had not been smoking crack prior to running last week's quest!
I am not sure if this is aswell true for that giantness...ehr... "quest" ;)
-
Well, it had to happen sooner or later, getting close to 4 hours into it and the end still not quite in sight!
One of my objectives when deciding to run a bunch of stand-alone quests was so that pretty much anyone could join each session, no closed quests or locked parties that excluded people who might have irregular playing times themselves that made it difficult to commit to the same time week after week. That said, it doesn't really make a lot of sense for people who weren't there tonight to turn up for next week's session.
As such, next Monday's quest will be me again, finishing up with the 'games'. Those in attendance tonight, don't forget to PM your votes for the best boast!
Regards,
Matt aka Pseudonym
-
It was loooong, but it was fuuuuun.
-
It was great!!
I can´t wait to play with you again!!
however, next monday i can´t play!
:(
-
Change of Mind!
Was thinking about it, feel free to come along, even if you weren't there last week.
Prelim:-
You are approached at Stormcrest Crossroads by one Professor Perrin Periwinkle Peroneous, the dean of Tribal history and antiquities - Northern Islands Division at Prantz University. He is seeking assistance in locating and obtaining a particular tribal mask that had some cultural significance from the Stalking Bear tribe of Krashin (near the Wolverine Camp).
He explained that this tribe had no real interest in material gain and the mask could not be bought. He also headed off any thoughts of trying to steal it saying the tribe was known to be home to many fierce and wary warriors who would not look upon a theft kindly. He then continued to reveal that where the mask could not be bought, it however could be won.
This tribe had a yearly 'games' where it's members competed in various contests and competitions, the winner being able to ask a boon of the Stalking Bear chief, Gomo. Professor Perrin's great idea is to hire some heroes who could go in, win the games and ask for the mask as their boon.
Easy, yes?
// If you wish to come along, be at Stormcrest at the start time whereupon you will be ported to the party's location.
// All levels welcome, RP will see you succeed or fail (not an AB of +75).
-
Ooh! Wonder what awaits us?
I -so- hope I can make it next monday.
-
Is this for Monday? Would you mind a level 1-5 (Whatever I can get her to) hah.
-
@lynnjuniper any levels. *winks* Monday morning...early morning i think for Yankees
-
6:30 I am not a Yankee! I'm an Eagles ....>_>;
-
The next Monday night one will be run by me! Starting location is as per usual.
You'll get to meet Eddy, Kurt and Drego. Expect med RP and med action.
Level limits: 9-20 (if you are outside this scope and want to come pm me and I'll let you know)
-
As I already discussed Pseudonym with, I really would love to come to these events but I can only come about 40 minutes after it starts. So far he let me tag and join, and so I hope you also wouldn't mind?
I really do love to join these stand alone quests.
-
Thats fine for this one!
-
Thanks Dezza, whilst you didn't quite fill my sizeable shoes, I suppose it was a somewhat adequate quest. :)
My turn again! This week a participant can expect ... RP! (All levels welcome) I know, we're about due for a bashy one soon ... but I really do like the sound of my own voice.
-
Thanks to all who came last week, the babies are doing well by all accounts. The one under Acacea's care supposedly can already say "You're a *******" and what we think is "Kiss my ########".
This Monday's quest is to be GMed by me again, Dezza being an ever so unreliable so-and-so. What to expect, what to expect ..... Hmmmmm, lemme think .... okay, along with your willingness to RP (as ever), best bring along a weapon of some description and a healing potion or three.
-
*bump*
Tonight's quest should be a quickie, maybe an hour or two followed by exploration of the wonders of the new update!
-
Monday night, a little different. Still a stand alone quest with all welcome to enter, however this one involves an NPC that some have encountered before.
Speak with,
Jacrum Shieldbreaker
Vlanin
Sallaron Tempest
Brandin Fleetfeet
Muireann
Sasha Tomyris
Kuguar Deepvein
Seth Kenton
Kalin Sundar
for these character's thoughts on Menestas the Magnificent.
-
If this is a certain miscreant elven wizard, this episode might quickly become retitled "Menestas Must Die". :D
-
I second that! :)
-
Menestas weren't too bad.... was just Kalins lack of UMD and butterfingers ;)
Shame I'll miss it...but I fear for you all :)
-
"Menestas Must Die"
*poop*
-
These sessions are great for the game, always try to make them, thought I d share that thought, keep up the good work!!
-
//
Hello regular AEST Monday evening attendees (and the ring-ins),
If you check the calendar, tonight's quest is a bit different to the normal. For starters, it begins in Katherian, not Stormcrest. More importantly however, this series will potentially have a far greater impact on the world and your character's lives than has been the case with the other quests I have run over the last few months.
Check the rumour forums, talk to some of the bards in game ... serious (and dangerous) things are afoot. Be prepared for your character's actions to have consequences. Katherian is a dangerous city. This quest will involve interacting with people who won't suffer foolishness and will punish stupidity with a likely display of swift and lethal intolerance. In previous quests I have been guilty of playing some of my NPCs as a little flippant (all in the name of good fun) but in this series, mouth off or show disrespect to the wrong person and your involvement in this series might come to an abrupt end.
I post this information/warning to those who will be attending as I think over the last few months I have created a certain expectation in player's minds as to what to expect from a Pseudonym quest. I wouldn't like to see people upset in RL (OOC) if their behaviour or attitude towards NPCs that has 'flown' as perfectly acceptable in the past is not the case for the people they will be dealing with in the 'With Friends like these' sessions.
Tonight's session will begin with a quick rundown of some OOC rules and understandings. After that, don your RP hats and we'll get into it!
Regards,
Pseudonym
-
The more I read this thread, the sadder I am that my AM is your PM. Thanks for keeping these quests going Pseudo, there are way too many closed ones on the calandar where people who haven't been in the previous 8 episodes are shut out from joining. These Stand-Alone quests are great for all of us folks with jobs who can't afford to make 8 consecutive meetings with the same 10 people. Mucho Kudos.
-
Argh... now, that I am not able anymore to enter your quest, you tell me something about greater impact? You couldn't have done that a month ago?!
No seriously, keep up the good work, alway enjoyed the Quests ;)
-
Hmmmmm, the plot thickens.
Next week's quest is not closed, however if new people wish to join (and I would really suggest it is in the party's best interests to enlist some further aid before they head off) they will need to RP during the week with one of either,
Jin Lun Lee
Vlanin
Leisa Margreve
Pendar the Hooded One
Arynne Liadon
Seth Kenton
Drea Llewellyn
Remember, this game is about fun, and while I am all for realism and immersion, if one of these characters is approached by someone obviously enquiring about events in Katherian related to this quest, please be accomodating to those folks with jobs who can't afford to make 8 consecutive meetings with the same 10 people
and not make it too hard for them to RP an 'in'.
Cheers,
Pseudonym
-
Next (and probably last) session in this series is on Monday night AEST as per usual - see calendar.
Again, I am more than happy for your characters to 'bump' into the party if you wish to attend. Be in Katherian for a port to the area. In the paraphrased words of the immortal Vizzini, your character will probably meet the party as you're out for a pleasure wander ... at night ... through the troll-infested Swamp of Lost Souls.
If you can make it, be prepared to RP your bum off, those attending the previous sessions are, how shall we say?, perhaps the most fractious party of all time! I exaggerate not.
-
Hey! We resemble that remark!
... I mean resent.
Did I say resemble? ;)
-
Howdy!
My backlog of CDQs to run has reached the point where I am forced to bow to the (valid) demands of those who have been waiting most patiently to find their long-lost lich moms, become assassins and Red Dragon Disciples, find the +12 toenail of Toran himself, etc, etc.
As such, though I will run a quest next week sometime (have to check with Mrs Pseudonym as to when i'm allowed) it will be at a different time to what has been the norm.
Check your calendars!
-
>_> Do it when she's asleep or ....*stops trying to be considerate* Make it in a time I can attend!
Seriously: I want to bring Veeto on a quest.
-
Yeah....change times....*points up*.
Im all out of bloody holidays ;)
-
Sorry folks due to a RL commitment tonights quest :
http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=2822&day=2007-10-15
Will be delayed in starting by half an hour. So instead of 8.30pm AEST it will be 9pm AEST.
-
Well, the Duress (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=3002&day=2007-10-22&c=3) part has been and gone but the Largess (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=3242&day=2007-10-29&c=3) part remains! That's the bit adventurers should be interested in anyway, right?
New attendees welcome, you will start in an 'odd' spot but this will be explained to newcomers at the start. Be at Stormcrest for a port to the starting location.
-
Well, it doesn't happen often but unfortunately Real Life has reared it's (dare I say her?) ugly head and I have to delay tonight's quest until the same time next week.
My apologies for the inconvenience.
-
Seeing that RL has sprung up for Pseudonym, I'll pick up the time for the standalone quest for tonight. Will amend for timezone tonight.
http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=3302&day=2007-10-29
Fear not AEST adventurers. you won't be deprieved of your Monday night fix! *grins*
-
Thanks Tanman, me again for tonight.
The Great Evil Goddess Mrs Pseudo has been temporarily appeased through sacrifice and the surrender of my free-will over the weekend (doing every chore she had lined up for me without complaint) and we are all good to go for tonight.
All welcome, all levels, new attendees - the more the merrier!
-
If you'll drop my XP back down to where it was to begin with, and not give me an XP reward at the end, I'd love to come along. :) Betchya never heard that one before.
Assuming I can wake up that early.
This is a definite maybe.
-
If you'll drop my XP back down to where it was to begin with, and not give me an XP reward at the end, I'd love to come along. Betchya never heard that one before.
What was the bet cos I've had it a few times!??!
Assuming I can wake up that early.
Early morning is the nicest time of day!
*voice from the background* Why don't you run a quest in the AEST early morning then smart guy?
*Pseudonym practices selective deafness*
Might see you there!
-
Chief Gomo needs your help!!!! (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=3512&day=2007-11-12&c=3)
-
What time is it GMT ?
I wanna come play some since I'm gettin back into layo.
-
Aussie Time... GMT+11
I am horrible at time converting but it should be 8am GMT ;)
>Xirion>
-
....
8am?
damnit I have school :(
-
Pfft, an education, now where'd that get anyone?
-
According to the Link Psuedo put up for the world time clock it starts at 10am GMT but yeah, working it out at GMT + 11 comes to 8am....
No idea which one is right...I would have said Aussie land is actually at GMT +13 right now *shrugs*
-
whichever it is i'm still atschool unless you change it to sunday or saturday, which i doubtyou would do since you alreayd get enough people comin along on mondays.
Anyway, I will find another quest thing to go on.Have fun :)
-
Me confused 'bout timezones. Time of this post is 7.15pm my time. Look to the left to get your current time I guess.
-
That would make it GMT +13, not 11 as it's showing up as posted at 8.15am GMT to me!
So to convert...add one hour and change the pm to am....simple! ;)
-
Aussie Time... GMT+11
I am horrible at time converting but it should be 8am GMT ;)
>Xirion>
21:00 - 11:00 = 10:00GMT
-
have I mentioned I hate timeconvertions?!
...however, I guess the result for bobby is still the same
AND...
I was close... at least abit ;)
-
teah...still at school at 10am.
I'll find some other quests o go on.
-
If there remains any lingering confusion re time conversions - Good Ol' fashion Dungeon Crawl (with a difference) is in 12 hours time!
-
Err I assumed that it starts in about 30 minutes from now....
I know of at least one other person that thought its about to start
-
Don't feel bad Bobby, you missed out on a quest that was dubbed afterwards as "Attack of the Soul Mother".
*slinks away*
-
eww.....*is worried*
I lost 4 strands already i think, i dout i wanna lose more.
I'll join you some day, maybe a saturday or sunday morning early gmt if i can be botherd staying awake.
hm...If your doing any quests when I'm on can ya send me a tell so i can come join ya?

By the way, adventure guide for tomorrow night's quest ... dangerous combat. Chance of ignominious death by rabid chickens, quite high.

Minimal and minimize come from the Latin adjective minimus, "least, smallest," and people therefore use minimal to refer to the smallest possible amount. In recent years, however, people have begun to use minimal more loosely to refer to a small amount. Language critics and stragen have objected to this usage, but it is fairly common. In a survey, the Usage Panel was asked what minimal meant in the sentence,
"Alcohol has a particularly unpleasant effect on me when I have a minimal amount of food in my stomach."
Under the strict interpretation of minimal, this sentence should mean only,
"Alcohol has an unpleasant effect when I have eaten nothing."
If the looser interpretation is allowed, however, the sentence can also mean,
" ... when I have eaten a bit."
Twenty-nine percent of the Panel held to the strict interpretation (that is, "eaten nothing"); 34 percent said that it could have only the looser meaning (that is, "eaten a bit"); and 37 percent said that it could have either meaning. Thus, 71 percent allowed the looser sense of minimal, so it should be considered acceptable, at least in nontechnical use. The verb minimize has undergone a similar extension of meaning. In its strict sense it means,
"to reduce to the smallest possible level," but quite often the context requires us to interpret what the smallest possible level might be.

And some might say it was really very brave to attack a large encampment of elite bandits that had already demonstrated a high level of competency and preparedness. There is never only one path to a destination.
-
PS. No quest on for next week, am on holidays (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angkor_Wat) from 27-31 May. Yay for me!!
-
Back from holidays!
First shot is Angkor Wat at sunrise, second shot is Angkor Thom and the third shot is Mrs Pseudo at Ta Prohm (Tomb Raider afficionados may recognise the spot).
Anyways, quest (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=7212&day=2008-6-5&c=3) on Thursday night (AEST).
Photos by yours truly ... I think Steve McCurry is pretty safe
-
*sighs* I need a holiday
Nice pics mate. Hope was fun. :)
-
Just one, small detail, where is this quest (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=7212&day=2008-6-5&c=3) starting from?
Regards,
Script Wrecked.
-
I have it on good authority it's starting at Stormcrest Crossroads.
Be there or be ... err, elsewhere!
-
Thanks to everyone who came along for tonight's quest - Argali, Barion, Castor, Sasha, Lin'da, Sall, Jaelle, Jin - all involved made it a blast to GM!
-
*smiles* I had a blast :)...need to refresh my bandages fast though , never know when i'll fall into a well again :D
PS : Sall realy smelled the same as Tegan ....honestly !!!!! *looks around shifty and runs off *
-
Wow, two quests in a single week. I spoil you Aussies (and honourary Aussies). Two part quest, 19 & 22 June. See calendar.
-
Change:- June 19 & 22 quests were originally given a restricted level guide of 6-12. I'm going to amend that to open to all levels. Sorry for any inconvenience.
-
Part two of the 'madness' quest on tonight (12 hours-ish from now) but is still open to new participants (to be RP'ed in at start) and open to all levels.
-
Gnahh, guess who forgot all about the quest yesterday AEST, ah well :P
-
Yeah Chazzler, you did miss out. You too could have been part of a group that loosed yet another great evil upon the poor peasant folks of Layonara!!!
On holidays (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Barrier_Reef) for a week and a bit ... quests to follow upon my return.
-
Little change on the calendar (sorry).
Originally I was going to run 'Challenge of the Clans' quest on the 17th of this month but due to the set-up time required (that I won't have on that day) i'll have to push it back to the following Thursday night (AEST) the 24th. Details here (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=7982&day=2008-7-24&c=3). This quest is open to all levels.
Instead, the 17th will now host the 'Stinky Pants' quest (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=7892&day=2008-7-17&c=3). The posted level guide is 10-25 ... lower levels will likely die horribly and shamefully however they are still welcome to attend, largely for my amusement.
-
*bump*
1.5 hours time from this post. Quest server.
-
Those participating in this (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=7982&day=2008-7-24&c=3) quest Thursday night (AEST) should download this (http://forums.layonara.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=126322&limit=recent) and have it ready for the quest. Don't cheat and study it prior to this!
-
Really, don't.
-
Next scheduled Stand Alone Quest - here (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=8452&day=2008-8-20). Adventure guide ... pack your travellin' shoes and your thinkin' helms.
-
Hey AESTers, unemployed GMTers, PST insomniacs and sundry others!
The last week of August is insanely busy for me with work and I haven't scheduled any quests that week. Sorry but just not sure what time I will be getting back in the evening to set-up anything. Hopefully one evening might present where I get home at a reasonable hour and I will post something in this forum with a couple hours notice with some details for an impromptu.
Otherwise, the week that follows for sure.
Regards,

And the Wednesday night - Ingenuity (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=8752&day=2008-9-17).
-
Just a quick note. Tomorrow night's quest involves delicate dealings with an NPC (whom some have encountered before) who possesses intentions and methods thoroughly and unquestionably evil in nature. It also involves the lives and wellbeing of children NPCs.
Though nothing in the quest should encroach upon the boundaries of Layonara being a family-friendly server, if players might be upset by the consequence/prospect of a 'bad' outcome for the children (depending on character actions, of course) then this quest might be one to sit out.

Just got back from work, quest tonight still going ahead as planned but I might be running 5-10 minutes late. Sorry!
-
Next quest is part of an ongoing series, though remains open to all. Sorry for the short notice but I wanted to get this done before the servers go down for however long.

The next scheduled quest (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=8972&day=2008-10-12&c=3) is NOT closed in any way but does relate to a series of events (http://forums.layonara.com/quests-ideas-discussion/201622-segem-story-arc.html#post1111422) that have already taken place.
The next-to-next scheduled quest (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=8982&day=2008-10-14&c=3) is unrelated and open to any and all who are interested.
-
Apologies!!!
The Deals, Steal and Heals [plot related] quest, details here (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=8982&day=2008-10-15), originally scheduled for the (Aussie) evening of Tuesday 14th Oct will now have to take place on the Wednesday evening. Otherwise, all details the same.
Apologies for any inconvenience.
-
Next quest details here (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=9092&day=2008-10-20&c=3).
Bashy with a difference! (though, thinking about it, as I always tend to try to have a twist, a 'difference' would be to have a bashy quest with no twists). So, bashy with a different difference? Anyways, you'll see.
-
A change in the times for this (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=9302&day=2008-11-9) quest. Start time is now 11.00pm AEDST. There is a link on the calendar post for your time. Sorry for any hassle, just trying to be as accomodating as possible to those who have invested so much time into this series.
-
Wow, look at me (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=9712&day=2008-12-7), i'm an overdue quest link!
Bashy quest, promises certain injury and a good chance of hideous death to the ill-prepared (and a so-so chance of said same hideous death to the reasonably well prepared).
Hope you can make it.

Because I am a top bloke, due to this (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=9592&day=2008-12-9&c=3) quest being postponed and it having quite a few sign-ups, I will run this (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=9812&day=2008-12-9) quest in it's stead.
This quest, though only a 'shorty' (expected duration 2 hours-ish), has plot ramifications.
-
*bump* Two hours time.
-
Next planned quest - here (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=10002&day=2009-1-19).
Short(er) notice impromptus until then.
PS. Happy New Year!
-
Reminder: This quest (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=10002&day=2009-1-19&c=3) in about 25 hours time and also this one (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=10262&day=2009-1-25&c=3) later in the week.
-
PS. Both are stand-alone, RP based and open to all levels.
-
*mental note to make less than 30 NPCs for next quest (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=10262&day=2009-1-25&c=3)*

Next scheduled quest - here (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=10542&day=2009-2-9). Sure, a bit sparse on the details now but it's not because I am yet to come up with anything .. it's because I am wanting it to be a surprise. Yeah, that's it. I am really quite organised. Yeah. *backs away, avoiding eye contact*
-
Next scheduled quest can be found here (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=10612&day=2009-2-23). Open to all, no level limits (upper or lower).
Only two scheduled quests this month (sorry), Ark's WLDQ is taking more concentration, focus and effort than i'd anticipated. Who'd have thunk it?
-
Link! (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=10712&day=2009-3-6&c=3)
More March quests coming ...
-
Please note change of date for that quest, now on the Sunday the 8th (no longer Friday the 6th). Hope that better suits those who have already found themselves embroiled.
-
Howdy folks,
Due to the thin sign-up and the fact that the only person who has actually discovered any of the many clues I have planted in game cannot make it and a conflicting CDQ involving some of the potential participants, I think I am going to go for a deferral of the quest scheduled for tonight.
Will post with alternatives soon.

Next scheduled quest - here (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=11192&day=2009-4-5). All levels welcome.
-
You might want to check the WTC link.. It's listing as March 5 ;)
-
Maybe my planned quest had adventurers piling into a DeLorean and I meant to put it on for March 5, huh, huh, you consider that Mr Smarty Pants??
*humbly* Fixed

Next scheduled quest, open to all levels.
Fancy link (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=11402&day=2009-4-20).
-
Next quest (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=11472&day=2009-4-26).
I said levels 15+ as a guide but lower levels welcome. After all, someone has to soak up those healing potions, bandages and raise dead scrolls that are contributing to inflated inventories.
-
Oops, late change - start time now a half hour later than originally planned (and what is usual). Now 9.00pm AEST. Sorry for any inconvenience but I bet you're not as sorry as i'd be if I didn't change it.
-
Quest (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=11672&day=2009-5-10&c=3) next week.
Open to all levels, classes, races, sexes and alignments. Hope to see you there!
-
The evil-as-they-come necromancer situated in the uppermost room of the tower.
Minions increasing in difficulty the closer you get to the big baddie.
No moral dilemmas.
No brain benders.
No goodies who are really baddies (and vice versa).
No do-I-trust-'em-or-don't-I-trust-'em? type NPC adventure hooks.
No NPCs who talk in ridiculous and distracting accents.
No tales of impossible love between inanimate objects or unlikely invertebrates.
No PC derision or degradation.
I'm really going to try this time. Honest.
Link (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=11822&day=2009-5-18&c=3).

Good news for those attending, the quest linked above will be included in the double XP weekend bonanza and, as such, quest XP reward will also be doubled.
As if my fantastic GM'ing skills weren't enough of an incentive.
-
Double XP weekend, better add an extra quest to the calendar!!! *muffled cries of protest from a bound and gagged Mrs Pseudo in the background*
This one (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=11882&day=2009-5-17) the evening before the one above.
-
Next scheduled quest - here (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=11942&day=2009-5-31). Open to all levels, RP heavy, hope you can make it!
-
Next scheduled quest - here (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=12082&day=2009-6-14). Away for the (long) weekend (God save the Queen!) so regular quests are skipping a week (sorry). I have said designed for levels 10+ but this is a guide only, all levels welcome (with the standard caveats).
Regards,
Pseudo (big fan of the bracket)

Sorry for short notice but just popped a quest on the calendar for tomorrow night (AEST time) - link (http://forums.layonara.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=17996&day=2011-8-18&c=3).
All welcome. Not locked in any way, shape or form.
I have put a level guide of 10-20 but you know, as my kids would say, whatever.
Hope you can come and help me get back into the GM swing of things.
