Striping Textures Video Problem
« on: February 08, 2008, 08:59:35 pm »
Anybody experience this. I have a GeForce 6600 with driver 169.21. Certain objects appear to have black and white stripes. For example, all the horses look like zebra's. Is there a setting or something I have incorrect?

Thanks.

Same here!  it was only recently that this started happening to me.  Have an Nvidia Geforce 7600 and started having the same problem, reloading the texture haks didn't seem to work. :(

you have to revert to a older version of the driver. Or make a search for a fix it self, I know that one of my friends had this problem and there was a fix for the driver.

What version of the driver are you running?  (Both of you.)  I think I may have a solution.

If you're running the newest version of the driver, it's actually incompatible with some of the hak textures used in NWN because (get this) - they're too old. Backwards compatibility?  Phah!  We need no backwards compatibility.

So your best bet is to grab driver 84.21 (available from the NVidia site), and downgrade.  Presto - no more zebras. :)

I had goodluck with driver set 94.xx

If you want to use the newer drivers. theres a link in the bioware forums to some fixes. One goes to the override folder, the other you have to insert into the hakpak somewhere.

It fixed my issues with NPCs and PCs, but i still get the striped placeables.

Oh..i never did use hte hakpak part, jsut the override folder one.

I was afraid you were going to say that. However, it works. Thanks all!
