If you see a druid shift into a big dragon, then this is 9th level spell called shapechange.  This spell is also available to wizards/sorcerers as a level 9 spell.  To get the epic dragon shape, a character needs a WIS of 30.  You do the math and tell me what level your druid will have to be.

We were refering to the epic feat "Dragon Shape" which turns the shifter into an ancient dragon

Did you really ever see this happen?  Or did you see the spell and think it was dragon shape.  I would be truly impressed to see a druid use this feat.  If a druid has a Wisdom of 18 at character creation, then the earliest that druid could possibly gain the epic dragon feat is level 30.  Off the top of my head I only know of 1 character on layonara that is level 30+, and he is not a druid.

I admit though, there may be a druid that is level 30, and I just never noticed.

Well there's no bear warrior capable of turning into a dire bear either, or at least not an active one.

We were simply throwing around "what if"'s

It is nice to get the whole story. The pure druid forms suck on AC unless you take monk, and then you have to take five level on this world, although I am not sure if the same rules apply after level 20 for shifting druid and monk levels around?

It sounds like the idea that animal forms for the bear warrior add to your stats is awsome. Now considering b ears have low ac to begin with...                       If bear warrior gave you more than your regular ac and added to all your stats. That is some powerful class. Can anyone else condifm this tough

You always have to take 5 levels of a class, even in epic levels and furthermore it is requested that you class levels should be within reason close to each other as well.
Multi-classing should make roleplay and character sense and not be done for the sake of powerbulding. Layonara is a roleplay world, not let us see who can build the strongest character. If you want to powerbuild I am sure there are many places you can go do that. Please make an effort here to rather build a character that has a "character" and was not just number-crunched.
If you so interested in bear warrior from a roleplay perspective it would not be a problem if the AC or whatever ends up low as you will have an interesting character to play. If you want to take bear warrior purely because it will give you one of the most powerful characters then I fear you missing the plot.
This has been stated before in the thread, pick a class to have fun and cause it makes roleplay sense and stop trying to build the strongest possible character, please.

I did the numbers on this cone and the druid will have to start with 18 wis, take +1 wis every four levels, and take epic wisdom as a feat every single level. The fastest that the dragon shape can be reached is level 33 at that rate.

Druids get epic bonus feats ;)

I must say though, as much time as I spend reading Lore, I still can't figure some things out.  Like I just started using a weapon in my character's off hand, but I do not seem to get it's effect at all when in wild shapes.

An epic shifter can get it faster as Great Wisdom is bonus feat and they get one every three levels so starting with 18 WIS you would have 23 at level 20... Get +1 at 21, 23, +2 at 24, 26, 27, 28 and at 29 take Dragon Shape.
