Winged PC's

I was watching Pan fly about in bird form and I remembered an idea that I had some time ago that I'd forgotten about and hadn't posted.  Basically the idea was that all those winged characters in the game like Plen and RDD's ect should get an item that gives them the 'take to the air feat' that the birdshape gets.  Although this is not flying as such it would allow them to get some use of their wings in game even if it was only to get off ledges and such.

I orginally thought of a gem or something but Pan suggested that it might be a cape and on reflection this seems like the best idea.  Because a creature with wings shouldn't be using a cape anyway, simply because its wings would be in the way.  I thought it could be an item that is either given by a GM when a person becomes 'winged' or automatically (as in the teleport book for wizards) when a RDD disciple becomes level 9 and he gets his wings.

heh, plen's the only winged character.

I agree with you though, good idea.

*grins* true but we do have a RDD though.  Mind you I don't know how close he is to getting his wings yet :)

Said RDD hasn't taken the first RDD level yet unless he took it pretty recently ;)
