Title: Need GM help

I have apply a fire rod protection on "Johans Crafted Cloak" and the original resistance dissapered and was replaced with the fire protection insteed. I didn't now that and my intention was not to trade the original against the fire, can some restor the cloak? or can I redo the quest? or must I live with my misstake? Need some help pleace, I need the original cloak.

You will probably be able to get the old cloak and the fire resistance back.

Anything you add to something will replace all properties of the same type.

Damage Resistance will replace Damage Resistance, and a damage bonus will replace a damage bonus.

Another place where this happens is bronze weapons.  If you add a rod to a bronze weapon it will replace the bronze benefits with the elemental damage.  I made this mistake some time ago and was able to get it undone.

I hope you have right about my cloak (still fire). Another question, must I be online to fix it or can I be off-line?

It has to be done online and yes you will get a replacement.  This one time.

I made the same mistake than Sajh, is it posible to have my "Johans Crafted Cloak" back with the original resistance fixed ?

Both Ellendil's and Durin's cloaks have been exchanged with new Johan's Crafted Cloaks.
