Title: How do you do a search check?
Post by: Brutoss on May 25, 2005, 07:12:00 PM
I was on a quest a couple of nights ago and the DM asked people to make a search check.  I know how you do this with dice, but how do you do it in the world of Layonara?  Is there some command that will make a skill roll?

Thanks,

Brutoss.

There should be an item in your inventory called a dice bag which you can use to roll for skills and ability checks when requested.

Is their a perticlar reason to use the dice bag for a search check when *search* automatical rolls one. I get search check rolls all the times with it bacuase when adventuring witha group I do *search the ground for tracks*, *search for clues* or what ever as I am a ranger and scout for the party and it adds more RP then just running around and metagaming where mobs are, and sometimes its just RP like finding a dead body in the woods *Search for clues* you of course find nothing but its good RP and you get the search roll everytime.

Sometimes that doesn't work, even thought i type *searches for clues* and other similar actions, that is why the dicebag is still very necessary.
