Title: changing character appearance
Post by: Germaine Lorn on June 03, 2005, 01:24:00 PM
Hi.

I am sure I read a post about this, but can't find it anywhere.  I have crfating armour skill.  I know this can only change appearance and not make things.  However, in-game I need to be stood near the correct tool.

What is the correct tool?  (yes I know this question is a license for all sorts of daft remarks.  Mine would be Rod Hull).

Thanks.....if anyone is near the Layonara team.....buy them a drink from me.  (hell if you are ever in Manchester UK - I'll buy one - might have to save up though :P)

The customization machines are in the northwest corner of the craft halls.

For customizing something leather (leather, hide and studded armors) use the tanning pool.

For customizing clothing use the loom

for customizing weapons metal armor and helms use the customization forge

For bows and anything weird that doesnt work on any of the others, use the fletchers bench

Don't forget to have money on you, changing weapons you need to have a weapon or shield kit.

I believe you also need to buy the proper kit from the craft vendor. Example to change appearance of a shield you need a shield kit, and armor would require an armor kit. I am not sure if there is a weapon kit.  At least I needed a shield kit to change my shield last night. :)

One thing, unless this as been fixed. Change either the color or the look not both at the same time.  I do one change at a time, found it works better for my sanity ;)
